This 126-ton Class 31 mainline loco built in 1959 may well have hauled the trains that took the likes of Johnnie Walker and Tony Blackburn to Harwich in the 60s.

The site features a ¾ mile standard gauge passenger carrying line, with restored stations, signal boxes and ancillary equipment.

In his two-part illustrated talk starting at 1 pm, Ray Clark will tell you about the fascinating story of the world-famous pirate radio station and the battles that went on behind the scenes in the 60s, 70s and 80s. He will also be signing copies of his latest book.

The event is organised by Radio Caroline in partnership with Caroline Community Radio and Mangapps Railway Museum.
